AN EARTH VISITATION
Color me blue and green.
Make fruit trees bloom,
and bees linger;
the rivers roll, ebbing to the ocean;
the ocean swell, teaming with
magnificent creatures;
ask the dolphin to visit man,
and the ghost cat to hide in shadows;
let there be winds on four corners,
and sunbeams stretched seam to seam;
may mountains gather spirit,
and the valleys bind it near;
into forests cast footsteps, and into
meadows seed dreams;
beauty above, and beauty below,
sister sunrise and brother sunset.
Color me blue and green.
Come near and everywhere in
between, whispering Earth.
